The UBC Faculty of Medicine required complex and versatile distant learning facilities around the province to facilitate learning in teaching hospitals and remote campuses.  Setting a world standard in remote teaching  the many systems were designed by MC2 and installed, commissioned and maintained by PJS Systems.  Utilizing Cisco Video Conferencing , Crestron Control Systems, Extron Video Switching and Biamp DSP these systems allow multiple lecture theatres and classrooms to participate in lectures as one.

With functionality to allow all the students to actively be involved with full audio and video participation these systems have truly revolutionized the capabilities of distant learning. The room consisted of several large format HD plasma screens integrated with voice activated microphones and HD cameras. Peripheral equipment in the room included document cameras, microscopes, confidence monitors, laptop computers and interactive white boards.
