City of Kelowna Council Chambers was upgraded to provide a fully integrated Audio-Video system.
The audio system incorporates state of the art acoustic echo cancelation and digital signal processing making the chambers video and teleconference ready. Making use of this sophisticated audio system allows the acoustical balancing of the soft-spoken and their louder companions to provide an even sound enforcement level for the gallery, staff and city council.
The chambers also received hi-definition video displays to facilitate the distribution of presentations to both the council and the gallery. Incorporated into the system are video and audio feeds for Shaw Cable to allow them greater coverage of city business. This technically complex system is controlled by a touchscreen at the city clerk’s desk that allows for simplified operation of all the audio, video and lighting.
